Ingriedients
- a few pieces of pulp of Fomes officinalis
- 4 1 liter of Grappa
Utensils
- Mason Jar
- cheese cloth
- knife
- Container (mason Jar)
Directions
Place the fomes officinalis after cleaning and the grappa into a container preferably a glass jar close and seal agitate well till all the sugar has dissolve then add the rest of the ingredients.
Aging, Straining, filtering, and Drinking Your Fomes officinalis Grappa Liqueur
Shake well and store away from sunlight in a cool and dry place for 4 month.
After 4 months strain the liquid through a cheesecloth squeezing the cheesecloth gently to wring out all the liqueur.
It helps to moisten the cheesecloth first so the liquid permeates more smoothly.
Once you get to the point where you have strained everything out, you can gently wring the cheesecloth to extract all of the remaining liquid and juice.
If you still need to strain your liqueur further due to lack of clarity, you can strain it 1 more time through a coffee strainer.
Let age further for another 4 months in a cool dry place.
Water down to your liking.
