Grapefruit Rosemary Kombucha Recipe

Hey Guys and Gals, are you Looking for an awesome Grapefruit Rosemary Kombucha Recipe? Well you now have no reason to look any farther.

Ingredients

  • 64 oz unflavored finished kombucha base recipe
  • 3 large sprigs fresh rosemary
  • Juice from one ruby red grapefruit
  • Zest of one lemon

Directions-Bottling

  1. First cut the grapefruit in half and Juice. Next you will zest the lemon/
  2. Add grapefruit juice, lemon zest and rosemary into a large glass jar and close.
  3. If you are filtering the kombucha you may choose to do it before step 3. The benefit being you can get more into the bottle or you may do after.
  4. If you are going to use multiple bottles, pour in kombucha-Scoby from base recipe to the mixture mix in a large bowl then divide into bottles.
  5. Now follow the directions second fermentation – leave to ferment as outlined for 1-3 days.(You will not be do doing the measurements as in adding fruit you have sugar to scoby.)
  6. Place back in to fridge to prevent farther fermentation and of course served chilled.

Just a reminder you need a bottle and a label which are cool enough to compliment your hard work. Honestly, if you put it into a cheap bottle, people will make fun of you. BUT, if it looks good, people will rave about it!

Notes on Utensils and Ingredients

  • Glass is always preferable when working with strong alcohol. Avoid plastic as much as possible.
  • Use organic ingredients to avoid pesticide residues.
