Ingredients

  • 2 cups of alcohol of choice
  • 1 teaspoon dried orange peel (minced)
  • 1 teaspoon cardamom
  • 1 teaspoon coriander
  • 1/2 teaspoon caraway ​(or anise seeds)
  • 4 cups water
  • 3/4 cup ​sugar

Utensils Tips

Utensils:
– cheesecloth
– saucepan
– small funnel
– glass bottles, or storage containers, for bottling and serving, you can either use the glass Jar you used before, or just buy a second one. 

Instructions

Rinse the flowers gently let dry, scrub the orange peel then zest the orange place into container.

Pour the vodka into container close and shake make sure the flowers and orange zest is completely submerged.

Aging and Straining Your Honeysuckle Liqueur Recipe

Let sit in a cool dry place for 2-3 weeks and than you will strain it.

Straining, some prefer the look of having the leaves in the bottle others prefer to strain using a cheesecloth.

When using a cheesecloth to strain when you get to the point where you have strained everything out.

You can gently wring the cheesecloth to extract all of the remaining liquid and juice.
