Cardamom Fig Brandy Recipe

Ingriedients
Step 1
- 2 whole cardamom pods
- 1 cup dried or fresh figs
- 4 cups of brandy
Step 2 Optional
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup water

- cheese cloth
- knife
- Container (mason Jar)
Directions
Step 1
Chop the figs making and place in your jar add in cardamom pods pour in brandy making sure all the fruit has been submerged in a sealable glass jar then seal and shake.
Aging, Straining, Filtering, and Drinking Your Cardamom Fig Brandy Liqueur Recipe
Shake well and store away from sunlight in a cool and dry place for 4-5 weeks.
After 4-5 weeks strain the liquid through a cheesecloth squeezing the pulp gently.
It helps to moisten the cheesecloth first so the liquid permeates more smoothly.
Once you get to the point where you have strained everything out, you can gently wring the cheesecloth to extract all of the remaining liquid and juice.
Step 2 Optional
Combined the sugar and water in a saucepan and bring mixture to a boil and reduce heat to a simmer until sugar has dissolved. Remove from heat and set aside to cool.
Combine your aged liqueur with your simple syrup
Add the sugar water slowly tasting till its to your likeness.
Notes on Utensils and Ingredients
- Glass is always preferable when working with strong alcohol. Avoid plastic as much as possible.
- Use organic ingredients to avoid pesticide residues.
