Ingredients

Step 1
  • 2 cup of blackberries
  • ¾ cups of moonshine
  • ¼inch lime zest
  • ¼ inch lemon zes
Step 2
  • 3 cups of water
  • 3 1/4 cups of sugar

Utensils Tips

Here is a list of the simplest utensils that you can use; the ones Mom should already have in the kitchen:)

Utensils:
– cheesecloth
– saucepan
– small funnel
– glass bottles, or storage containers, for bottling and serving, you can either use the glass Jar you used before, or just buy a second one.

Instructions

Wash and then towel dry the black berries. If frozen defrost and then towel dry.

Get your zest from your lemon and lime, combined all together into your container pour in moonshine making sure all the ingredients are submerged in the moonshine.

Aging, Straining, And Filtering Your Blackberry Moonshine Liqueur

Let soak for at least 1 day the longer the better I don’t recommend less then five.

After your aging period strain your liqueur through several layers of cheesecloth.

It helps to moisten the cheesecloth first so the liquid permeates more smoothly.

Once you get to the point where you have strained everything out, you can gently wring the cheesecloth to extract all of the liquid and juice.

If you still need to strain your liqueur further due to lack of clarity, you can strain it 1 more time through a coffee strainer.

Step 2

Pour the water into a saucepan bring to a boil stir in the sugar keep on stirring till all the sugar dissolved being careful not to burn the sugar turn off fire.

Add the simple syrup to your liqueur pour in slowly tasting all the while to make sure its sweetened to your taste.

Congratulations, You Have Completed Making this Awesome Violet Blackberry Liqueur Recipe!

You now need a bottle and a label which are cool enough to compliment your hard work. Honestly, if you put it into a cheap bottle, people will make fun of you. BUT, if it looks good, people will rave about it!
