Lime Vanilla Infused Bourbon Recipe D.I.Y.

Hey Guys and Gals,

Are you Looking for an awesome Lime Vanilla Infused Bourbon Recipe? You now have no reason to look any further! You have just found what you have been looking for, this is a recipe for the most awesome tasting Lime Vanilla Infused Bourbon in the world.

Ingredients

Step 1
  •  3 cups of bourbon
  • 2 Vanilla Bean Pods
  • 1 large limes
Step 2 Optional
  • 1/2 cup of water
  • 1/2 cup of granulated sugar

Directions

Holding the fruit over the top of your container, peel off the zest of tyour lime so that the bourbon catches not only the zest but also the oils that are sprayed out.  Be careful to only get the zest, not the bitter white pith underneath. 

Crack open your vanilla bean add to container, add in your bourbon in to your container close and shake.

Aging, Straining, And Drinking Your Lime Vanilla Infused Bourbon

Shake well and store away from sunlight, in a cool and dry pace agitating and shaking every other day for 1 day .

After the aging/steeping process is done, strain your liqueur through several layers of cheesecloth.

It helps to moisten the cheesecloth first so the liquid permeates more smoothly.

Once you get to the point of where you have strained everything out, you can gently wring the cheesecloth to extract all of the liquid and juice.

If you still need to do to lack of clarity in your liqueur, you can strain your Gin one more time through a coffee strainer.

Step 2

Pour the cup of water into a pot bring to a boil and stir in the sugar keep on stirring till all the sugar has dissolved let cool then pour into your gin tasting all the while till its to taste.

You now need a bottle, and a la

bel, that is cool enough to compliment your hard work. Honestly if it looks good people will rave about it. If you put it into a cheap bottle people will make fun of you.

 large plastic bowl
– measuring cups (liquid and dry)
– metal strainer
– cheesecloth
– saucepan
– small funnel
– glass bottles, or storage containers, for the final product, you can either use the glass Jar you used before, or just buy a second one. 

Notes on Utensils: And Ingredients

  • Avoid plastic as much as possible when working with strong alcohol. glass is always preferable.
  • When choosing your ingredients always choose organic ingredients to avoid pesticide residues that are found on non organic fruit!
