Lingonberry Liqueur Recipe D.I.Y.

Hey Guys and Gals!

Are you looking for an awesome Lingonberry Liqueur Recipe? You now have no reason to look any further, you have just found what you have been looking for! This is a recipe for the most awesome tasting Lingonberry Liqueur in the world.

Ingredients

Step 1
  • 1 cup Lingonberry
  • 1 1/2 cups Vodka
Step 2
  • 2 cup water
  • 2 cups sugar

Directions

Step 1

Freeze the berries, after they are frozen 24 hours or till they are hard take them out let them thaw a bit this helps release the sugar in them. Next remove the stem and crack the berries open then place in to your container.

Pour the Vodka over the peels making sure all the peels are completely submerged. Close and place in a cool, dark place.

Aging, Straining, filtering, and Drinking Your Lingonberry Liqueur

Shake well and store away from sunlight in a cool and dry place for 2-3 week.

Agitate the jar every so often to encourage extraction.

It helps to moisten the cheesecloth first so the liquid permeates more smoothly.

Once you get to the point where you have strained everything out, you can gently wring the cheesecloth to extract all of the liquid and juice.

If you still need to strain your liqueur further due to lack of clarity, you can strain it 1 more time through a coffee strainer.

Step 2

Combined the sugar and water in a saucepan and bring mixture to a boil and reduce heat to a simmer until sugar has dissolved. Remove from heat and set aside to cool.

Combine your aged liqueur with your simple syrup (from step 2 in directions)

Add the sugar water slowly tasting till its to your likeness.

Put your bottle in the fridge. Keep it well hidden, from your family and friends so it will remain your secret surprise for your next party. And don’t forget, always serve cold!

Myrtle Berry Liqueur Recipe D.I.Y.

Ingredients

Step 1
  • 1 cup dried myrtle berries & 1 cup of water, or 350 grams fresh myrtle berries
  • 1 1/2 cup of vodka or 95% proof alcohol
Step 2
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 cup sugar

Utensils Tips

Here is a list of the simplest utensils that you can use; the ones Mom should already have in the kitchen:)

Utensils:
– cheesecloth
– saucepan
– small funnel
– glass bottles, or storage containers, for bottling and serving, you can either use the glass Jar you used before, or just buy a second one. 

Instructions:

When using dried myrtle berries, combine them with your 1 cup of cold water in the glass contain and allow them to reconstitute overnight.

Then not discard the soaking water, but simply add the alcohol to it.

Aging, Straining, filtering, and Drinking Your Myrtle Berry Liqueur

Age for 6 weeks in a cool dry place.

After 6 weeks strain off liquid with your cheesecloth and add back to aging container.

Once you get to the point where you have strained all the liqueur out, you can gently wring the cheesecloth to extract all of the remaining liquid and juice.

It helps to moisten the cheesecloth first so the liquid permeates more smoothly.

If you still need to strain your liqueur further due to lack of clarity, you can strain it 1 more time through a coffee strainer.

Step 2

Place the water in a sauce plan and heat it up, when boiling pour in the sugar stirring to pervent the sugar from burning. When all the sugar has dissolved turn off the fire let cool then add to your liqueur.

Age for 1 more week.

Best served Chilled and within one month of making.
