– small funnel
– glass bottles, or storage containers, for bottling and serving, you can either use the glass Jar you used before, or just buy a second one.

Pour the half a cup of water into a pot bring a boil then lower to a simmer and let it simmer for 3-4 minutes. Take off fire and let cool.

Step 2

Try to use an organic orange otherwise scrub the orange really well then peel the orange using just peel and avoiding the white stuff (pith) and put into your container.

Add in the gin, and sugar, then pour in your cool off tamarind, close the container and shake.

Aging, Straining, Filtering, and Drinking Your Tamarind Gin Liqueur Recipe

Shake well and store away from sunlight in a cool and dry place for 3-4 weeks agitating and shaking at least once a day.

After 3-4 weeks strain through cheesecloth.

It helps to moisten the cheesecloth first so the liquid permeates more smoothly.

Once you get to the point where you have strained everything out, you can gently wring the cheesecloth to extract all of the liquid and juice.

If you still need to strain your liqueur further due to lack of clarity, you can strain it 1 more time through a coffee strainer.

Water down to your likening.
