Pear Liqueur Recipe!

Hay Guys and Gals, are you Looking for an awesome Pear Liqueur Recipe Recipe? You now have no reason to look any further! You have just found what you have been looking for, this is a recipe for the most awesome tasting Pear Liqueur Recipe in the world.

Pear Liqueur Recipe what you’ll need

Ingredients for step 1.
  1. 1 ripe pears, divided (organic preferred)
  2. 1 vanilla bean
  3. 1 cup brandy or vodka
Directions, step 1
  1. Wash and chop up the pear, discard the seeds and the core. You can peal the pear and if you choose to do it before you chop it. I like to leave the skin on I find that it gives the Peas Liqueur more depth and flavor.
  2. Now split and scrape the vanilla bean.
  3. Place your chopped up pear and the vanilla bean in your glass jar and cover with brandy, make sure no pear is sticking out from under the brandy. The jarshould have enough room to add another cup of liquid if you choose to do step 2.
  4. Seal and shake, then let steep for at least 2 days in a cool dry place.
  5. After two days remove the vanilla bean, and then let the pear liqueur steep for another 3 days.
  6. The infusion and steeping process of step 1 should be a minuimum of five days.
Step 2 make and add as needed
  1. 1 ripe pears, divided (organic preferred)
  2. 1 cup sugar
  3. 1 cup water
Step 2

Step 2, is needed when you feel your Pear Liqueur is not sweet enough. This can happen because of pear variety or ripeness.

  1. After a total of five days, chop up the second pear, discarding the seeds and core.
  2. Add it to a pot, along with the water and sugar, then stir and bring to a boil on medium heat, about 5 to 7 minutes. Reduce heat and simmer for an additional 5 minutes. Let the syrup mixture cool.
  3. Once cooled, pour the syrup (with the fruit) into the steeping jar. Shake and let steep for 2 days.

Utensils

I am listing the simplest utensils that you can use, the ones mom should have already have in the kitchen.
Utensils:
– A large glass jar (I used a 3 liter jar)
 large plastic bowl
– measuring cups (liquid and dry)
– metal strainer
– cheesecloth
– saucepan
– small funnel
– glass bottles, or storage containers, for the final product, you can either use the glass Jar you used before, or just buy a second one.

Notes on Utensils:

Avoid plastic as much as possible when working with strong alcohol. Glass is always preferable. Or food grade plastic is always preferable.

Filteing and Drinking your Pear Liqueur

After either step one or two depending when your desired flavor is achieved. Carefully strain the liquid through several layers of cheesecloth.

It helps to moisten the cheesecloth first so the liquid permeates more smoothly.

Once you get to the point of straining out the pulp and rind, gently wring the cheesecloth to extract all of the liquid and juice.

If you still need to you can strain your pear liqueur one more time through a coffee strainer.

When you are done straining, you can discard all of the rind, pulp and any spices.

Congratulations On Your Awesome Pear Liqueur

You now need a bottle, and a label, that is cool enough to compliment your hard work. Honestly if it looks good people will rave about it. If you put it into a cheap bottle people will make fun of you.
