Mint Infused Bourbon Recipe D.I.Y.

Hey Guys and Gals,

Are you Looking for an awesome Mint Infused Bourbon Recipe? You now have no reason to look any further! You have just found what you have been looking for, this is a recipe for the most awesome tasting Mint Infused Bourbon in the world.

Ingredients

Step 1
  • 4 cups bourbon
  • 40 small mint leaves
Step 2 Optional
  • 1 cup of water
  • 1 cup of granulated sugar

Directions

Make a mint extract wash and place your leaves in a small bowl.

Cover with 3 ounces bourbon allow the leaves to soak for 15 minutes. remove the leaves and squeeze till all the juice is removed. Repeat this process 3-4 times.

Now begin adding the mint extract 1 tablespoon at a time to the bourbon. Each batch of mint extract is different, so you must taste and smell after each tablespoon is added.

Put into your bottle and and then pour in the rest of your bourbon.

Aging, Straining, And Drinking Your Mint Infused Bourbon

Shake well and store away from sunlight, in a cool and dry pace for 1 day.

After the aging/steeping process is done, strain your liqueur through several layers of cheesecloth.

It helps to moisten the cheesecloth first so the liquid permeates more smoothly.

Once you get to the point of where you have strained everything out, you can gently wring the cheesecloth to extract all of the liquid and juice.

If you still need to do to lack of clarity in your liqueur, you can strain your Gin one more time through a coffee strainer.

Step 2

Pour the cup of water into a pot bring to a boil and stir in the sugar keep on stirring till all the sugar has dissolved let cool then pour into your gin tasting all the while till its to taste.

You now need a bottle, and a label, that is cool enough to compliment your hard work. Honestly if it looks good people will rave about it. If you put it into a cheap bottle people will make fun of you.

I am listing the simplest utensils that you can use, the one’s mom should have already in the kitchen that you will use when making this awesome recipe.
Utensils:
– A large glass jar (3 liter jar) 
 large plastic bowl
– measuring cups (liquid and dry)
– metal strainer
– cheesecloth
– saucepan
– small funnel
– glass bottles, or storage containers, for the final product, you can either use the glass Jar you used before, or just buy a second one. 

Notes on Utensils: And Ingredients

  • Avoid plastic as much as possible when working with strong alcohol. glass is always preferable.
  • When choosing your ingredients always choose organic ingredients to avoid pesticide residues that are found on non organic fruit!

Mint Infused Bourbon Liqueur Recipe D.I.Y.

Hey Guys and Gals!

Ingredients

Step 1
  • 7 springs of mint
  • 4 cups of bourbon
Step 2 Optional
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cups sugar

Directions

Step 1

bang the mint sprigs with a knife till they are banged up so the flavor can be released.

Put the mint sprigs and bourbon into your jar making sure the sprigs are completely submerged. Close and place in a cool, dark place.

Aging, Straining, filtering, and Drinking Your Mint Infused Bourbon

Agitate the jar every so to encourage extraction.

Shake well and store away from sunlight in a cool and dry place for 2-4 weeks.

Filter through cheesecloth.

It helps to moisten the cheesecloth first so the liquid permeates more smoothly.

Once you get to the point where you have strained everything out, you can gently wring the cheesecloth to extract all of the liquid and juice.

If you still need to strain your liqueur further due to lack of clarity, you can strain it 1 more time through a coffee strainer.

Step 2

Combined the sugar and water in a saucepan and bring mixture to a boil and reduce heat to a simmer until sugar has dissolved. Remove from heat and set aside to cool.

Combine your aged liqueur with your simple syrup (from step 2 in directions)

Add the sugar water slowly tasting till its to your likeness.

Put your bottle in the fridge. Keep it well hidden, from your family and friends so it will remain your secret surprise for your next party. And don’t forget, always serve cold!
