Habanero Infused Rum Recipe D.I.Y.

Hey Guys and Gals!

Ingredients

Step 1
  • 3 cups of rum
  • 1-2 habanero peppers
Step 2 Optional
  • 1 cup of water
  • 1 cup of sugar

Directions

Clean and deseed your habanero peppers and place in your jar then pour in your rum close and shake.

Aging, Straining, And Drinking Your Habanero Infused Rum Recipe

Let your liqueur age/steep for 1-2 days in a cool dark place. Taste if it is strong enough for your likings start to strain otherwise let it age a little longer.

Strain the liquid through several layers of cheesecloth.

It helps to moisten the cheesecloth first so the liquid permeates more smoothly.

Once you get to the point of where you have strained everything out, you can gently wring the cheesecloth to extract all of the liquid and juice.

If you still need to you can strain your liqueur one more time through a coffee strainer.

Step 2 Optional

Bring your water to a boil and stir in the sugar. Keep on stirring till all the sugar has dissolved finally when call pour in your sugar water slowly tasting all the while till its sweetened to your taste.

– glass bottles, or storage containers, for the final product, you can either use the glass Jar you used before, or just buy a second one. 

Notes on Utensils and Ingredients

  • Glass is always preferable when working with strong alcohol. Avoid plastic as much as possible.
  • Use organic ingredients to avoid pesticide residues.

Habanero Infused Rum Recipe D.I.Y.

Hey Guys and Gals, are you Looking for an awesome Habanero Infused Rum Recipe? You now have no reason to look any further! So get ready to have the most awesome drink ever!

Ingredients

Step 1
  • 1-2 peppers
  • 3 cups of rum
Step 2 optional
  • 1 cup of water
  • 1 cup of sugar

Instructions

Step 1

Slice the hot peppers deseed and destem then combined into your container/

Aging And Straining

Seal the container and let steep in a cool, dry place for 1 week.

Get your cheesecloth to filter it helps to moisten the cheesecloth first so the liquid permeates more smoothly.

Once you get to the point where you have strained everything out, you can gently wring the cheesecloth to extract all of the remaining liquid and juice.

If you still need to strain your liqueur further due to lack of clarity, you can strain it 1 more time through a coffee strainer.

Step 2

Making your simple syrup, put a saucepan on the flame pour in water and bring to a boil stir in sugar keep on stirring until sugar has dissolved. Let the syrup cool down completely.

Pour in the simple syrup slowly tasting all the while till its sweetened to your liking.
