Aging, Straining, filtering, and Drinking Your Azarole Grappa Liqueur

Shake well and store away from sunlight in a cool and dry place for 2 month.

After 2 months strain the liquid through a cheesecloth squeezing the cheesecloth gently to wring out all the liqueur.

It helps to moisten the cheesecloth first so the liquid permeates more smoothly.

Once you get to the point where you have strained everything out, you can gently wring the cheesecloth to extract all of the remaining liquid and juice.

If you still need to strain your liqueur further due to lack of clarity, you can strain it 1 more time through a coffee strainer.

Let age further for another month in a cool dry place.

When serving top off if you would like with a zest of lemon and add some warm water.

Warning: make sure you purchase a real and edible Gentian
