Ingredients

Step 1
  •  2 cups of alcohol 95Âş 
  • 1/2 cup of violet flower 
Step 2
  • 3 cups of water 
  • 3 1/4 cups of sugar

Utensils Tips

Here is a list of the simplest utensils that you can use; the ones Mom should already have in the kitchen:)

Utensils:
– cheesecloth
– saucepan
– small funnel
– glass bottles, or storage containers, for bottling and serving, you can either use the glass Jar you used before, or just buy a second one. 

Instructions

Pick the violets in the early morning of a sunny day and use them immediately.

Gently wash and dry the flowers.

Use only the petals. Put the violet petals and the alcohol in an airtight jar.

Let soak for 1 day.

Filter gently, saving the violets and put them in a bowl.

Aging, Straining, And Filtering Your Violet Liqueur

Step 2

Pour the water into a saucepan bring to a boil stir in the sugar keep on stirring till all the sugar dissolved being careful not to burn the sugar turn off fire.

Put the violets in a bowl and pour the boiling syrup on them.

Let rest the syrup and the petals for 1 day and 1 night.Filter and gently squeeze the violet in the syrup.

Add the flavored syrup to the alcohol.

Bottle and let rest for a month.
